This sight is bright, reliable, and durable. Its accuracy is industry renowned allowing for quick sight acquisition and fast accurate follow up shots.
We recommend that the slide be milled so the Doctor sight can be low mounted aka "melted". This way the dot is where you would expect the front sight to be. Thus you can use the same muscle memory for both dot sight and iron sights. Mounting the doctor on a dovetail mount will force you to change how you point the gun (hold the gun lower) to see the dot because it sits higher. Using something like a C-more or tube sight on a rail mount can move the dot up to 3" over bore. Your going to have to relearn how you index the gun, and switching back and forth from irons to dot will be much more difficult. |
